Guided Reading
During guided reading Year 4 have the opportunity, as part of their learning, to develop their comprehension skills through guided reading games, as well as reading.
Science Lessons
Year 4 have been learning about sounds and have been exploring the different types of sounds. We looked at how sounds are made and how vibrations travel.
Literacy Lessons
As part of our literacy work, we have been learning about stories from different cultures. We had the unique opportunity to experience how a story comes alive when we went to London to see a musical production of THE LION KING !
Topic Lessons
Year 4 have been learning about Nelson Mandela and different cultural heritages, as part of Black History Month. We took part in a Black History dance workshop, where children learned different dance moves.
Maths Lessons
Year 4 have been learning about handling data by carrying out a survey of our favourite bread. We collected the data, then transferred it to a bar graph. Then, we elaborated our own questions to extract the information from the bar graph and frequency tables.
We have also been learning about money and solving real life problems involving money.
